Subject Where, why, how..?

Hey guys...wondering how you were able to fund an adventure around the world like you did! I see below you were working hard touring North America...and you worked in Oz. But how much would it cost to do something like you did! TRULY inspirational, and amazing that you turned what most people view as a simple holiday into a way of life. Thank you for sharing your images, ideas and vision with us. For two young people to pick up and get lost in a sea of nations, religions and worldly issues - pure awesome! Where are you off to next???
Thanx again for all you do, best of luck to you both :)

Brandon thanks for the kudos and great question!

Just as in everything in life, trekking across the world takes a bit of creativity to make it a reality... It wasn't easy at first to break away from the everyday routine and venture out into the unknown, though once you do their is no turning back and no desire to do so either ;)
We saved funds for a year or so prior to departure, then created work through organizing environmental events, wildlife and other streams of photography, and the great opportunity to work on the Great Barrier Reef educating others on the current state of our planet, all together made everything happen.
Nothing is official as to our next moves though we can assure you they will be all focused on aiding our beautiful Gaia.
All the best in your journeys my friend!

Subject To inspire change one must be constantly aware of all actions...

You guys have a picture of the two of you posing in times square NY with fashionable clothing on. Don't you think this weird given the nature of your message? I don't think you understand the extent of what your talking about when you have pics of yourselves modeling in one of the most harmful cities to the environment.

Tom,
First off thank you for taking the time to view our site!
We have had so many wonderful opportunities to view the many places and spaces of this Earth! The image you speak of was a bio shot taken while we were working in NYC, myself as a publicist and Mike as a manager - for North America's Master Stylist Heather Wenman. I agree that North America, and NY to be specific is a huge part of the problem, though we are indeed trying to be a part of the solution. Our experiences touring North America gave us the travel bug, and allowed us to see the beast behind all beauty. Now we are trying to promote 'greener' travel and the notion that you should also give back to the planet. From the fashionistas out there, to the monks walking barefoot on the streets of Laos we respect, relate and try to understand all walks of life. And encourage positive change. Thanks for your feedback Tom

Apparently Tom is not aware. I think your comments are misplaced and you do not under stand the extent of what you are talking about. Larger cities overall produce a greater emissions. However there inhabitants live in smaller spaces, use less energy to heat and cool because of there radiant proximity to each other, and utilize public transit more commonly. New York has one of the most complex and efficient transit systems in the world. Everything is close in New York City and imported goods need less land travel to get to the end user. The average new yorker is responsible for a carbon footprint that is less than half of the average country dweller.

Subject Working on the GBR

Finding the dream job is half the fun! I did my research before hand to find the best dive boat on the Great Barrier with the largest focus being Eco-Certification - the one I worked on had an Advanced level certification which meant that they educate and conduct research all over the GBR. An advanced CPR certification, knowing some other languages like French and German is huge, and a great attitude will get you into any doors.
The best place to reach as many companies would be at the Marinas where the boats take off, strike up a convo and seal the deal to help save the planet :)

Subject Cairns Eco-Event

Hi Green Utopia!
Love your photos and following your journey. We met at the Cairns Reef & Rainforest event that you held last July, it's great to see such education & knowledge being provided to communities across the world! I've become one of your ambassadors and i'm working on an event to save our waterways around Cairns, do you have any ideas or advice?
Much Appreciated and GoodLuck!

Thanks Rebecca!!!

First off, congrats on your awesome initiatives! We were lucky enough to work with Eco-warier Robin Aiello who for the past 20 years has been striving to do just what we all want to do....and make a HUGE difference. I believe Robin is still working out of Cairns and she would be great to connect with. Get the message out there, via events, concerts, images and music. As you know we worked with many musicians, artists, photographers, zoos etc to have a full circle event where people could interact with nature - in hopes they would connect enough to care! Also, getting involved with the Australian wilderness society would also be a great idea - you will need to contact Di for further details.
Getting as many people behind you as you can is key! Please email me and I'll send you links, contacts and more info you may need including some pics of the event! Keep up the great work Rebecca!!
