Never too young or old to learn about the beautiful creatures we share this planet with and discover how to live in harmony with them.
In July 2008, Cairns Australia was home to a wonderful day of learning, interacting and caring for native and exotic animals. The aim was to shed light on the current state of the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest (the oldest and most fragile eco systems on the planet)
Over 3000 mouths where fed upon successfully answering questions about the reef and rainforest, sharing with us your knowledge and passion for Australia's delicate and glorious wildlife.
Children had their faces painted to depict their favourite wildlife animal and a sunset homage to nature was performed and projected by musician Simon7. The sound of Oz’s didgeridoo filled the air as visuals of whales, monkeys, shards and birds projected light back into the nights sky and fill the hearts of the young and young at heart.
Mike and I set out to open people’s eyes to the delicate nature of our world and people listened.
Many thanks to Robin Aiello, The Cairns Wildlife Dome, Passions of Paradise and the City Council.
